A Career in Defence Forces
The N.D.A. & N.A. Examinationos conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year. This examination is conducted for Admission in National Defence Academy. First of all candidates appear for written test and after qualifying that, they are called for SSB interview & fitness test and those who get through the SSB interview are finally admitted in National Defence Academy. The admitted candidates undergo 3 year course in arts/science equivalent to Graduation and get a Degree at the end of successful completion from IGNOU. After the Completion of the 3 years course (graduation) candidates are sent to Indian Military Academy or Air Force Academy or Indian Naval Academy for pre-commission training. According to their choice and merit, candidates get into any one of the three academies. Army cadets go to IMA Dehradun, Air Force cadet go to AFA Hyderabad and Naval cadet go to INA Ezhimala, Kerala. After successful completion of training candidates are appointed as officers in Indian Army, Indian Air Force Services and Indian Navy.
