A radical change is underway for the higher education system in India. The new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has a lot of surprises up its sleeves. While all facets of the education system have been modified in some way or the other, the changes planned for higher education will be implemented over the next four to 20 years. Some key points of the policy are the introduction of multi-disciplinary courses by all colleges, doing away with the M. Phil program, and pitching foreign universities to operate in India.
