Attributes

Aspiring students need a solid foundation in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Good logical and mental ability, problem solving skills and an ability to grasp concepts quickly are essential. An ability to express oneself using figures and words, perseverance and judgment are some of the other skills required. Ability to work with tools and in teams is also preferred.

Eligibility

For a Bachelors’ Degree (BE/B.Tech), the candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

Entrance to the IITs is through JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own entrance exams and other state and national level exams. The duration for the course is 4 years. The eligibility criterion for pursuing a Master’s degree is a Bachelors Degree in (B.E./B.Tech) Electronic and Communication or any other equivalent branches of Engineering. The duration for the course is 2 years.
